【国際教育部】Chukyo Global Summer Lesson for 中学生、開催！

On July 24, 2025, Chukyo High School hosted the Global Summer Lesson for junior high school students. Sixty students who are interested in the International Course visited our school to experience a special English lesson.

They joined a lesson with native English teachers and 1st and 2nd year students from the International Course. The lesson was based on the 1st year textbook chapter titled "Can Young People Change the World?" Students discussed this important topic, answered questions from a listening video activity, and participated in a mini group project.

In small groups, the students identified an environmental problem, thought of possible solutions, and created a short video to present their ideas. Junior high and high school students worked together, enjoyed discussions, and had fun producing their videos.

At the end of the day, each participant received a certificate of completion and a small gift from Chukyo. The event concluded with an in-depth presentation in Japanese about the International Course.

It was a fun and exciting day. Chukyo teachers and students enjoyed meeting the junior high school guests and sharing this special learning experience. We sincerely thank them for joining us and helping to make the event a great success!

7月24日、中学生対象のChukyo Global Summer Lessonを実施いたしました！毎年恒例のこのイベントですが、国際コースに興味のある中学生が国際コースの特別英語レッスンを受けに本校に来てくれました。

中学生たちはネイティブの先生・国際コース1年2年の生徒たちと一緒に授業に参加しました。この特別英語レッスンは、実際に国際コース1年生が使っている教科書から授業テーマを選んでいて、「若者は世界を変えることができるか？」というテーマで実施しました。国際コースの生徒たちと一緒に、このテーマについて考えて議論し、リスニング活動を通した質問にも答え、最終的にはグループプロジェクトに取り組みました。中学生たちも国際コースの生徒たちと交流しながら楽しくレッスンを受けていました。

レッスンの最後には、ネイティブの先生たちと国際コースの生徒たちから、修了証と記念品をプレゼントさせてもらいました！また最後に、国際コースの日本人担任の先生による国際コースについての10分間の紹介プレゼンを実施しました。

国際コースの先生たちや生徒たちも、毎年中学生と交流できるこのイベントを楽しみにしていますが、今年も参加してくれた中学生の皆さんと楽しい時間を過ごすことが出来ました！参加してくれた中学生のみなさん、ありがとうございました！

また中京で一緒に勉強できるのを楽しみにしています！
