Global Education Department International Events "Chukyo to the World"

Online Taiwan Event 2J International Class
Friday 12th November- 4 students from 2J International English class took part in an online event with 20 students and 5 teachers from Nangang Junior High school in Nantou city. In this event the 2J students led conversations and interaction in English, in 4 different online groups, with our friends in Taiwan. They talked about Japanese culture, Taiwanese culture, food, festivals, schools, and SDGs amongst other things. This event was particularly special as Chukyo students were running the conversations with limited teacher help.
Feedback from the students was positive. "I want to do it again." "It was exciting and interesting."

Online Taiwan Event English Club
Wednesday 17th November, 16 members of English Club took part in an online cultural exchange with 20 students from Yonghe Junior High School in Taipei city in Taiwan. This is our second event with this school and today we made 4 groups with 4 computers. The students shared presentations about their country. The students then asked each other questions about their countries, schools, food, hobbies and more. The time flew by and both the Japanese students and Taiwanese students would like to meet again.

11月12日（金）と11月17日（水）の２日間、台湾の２つの中学校とのオンライン交流を実施しました！

12日（金）は国際コース２年生の生徒４名がお互いの国の文化や食べ物などの身近な話題や、SDGsに関するトピックについて意見交換をしました。お互いに第二言語として英語を学習しているため、お互いに発音を聞き取るのに苦労している様子でしたが、台湾の中学生も中京生もともに楽しい時間を過ごすことができました！

17日（水）には、英語部の生徒たちが台湾の中学生に向けてグループごとにプレゼンテーション発表をしました。お互いの国や学校についてだけではなく、お互いの趣味や好きなものについても話すことができ、あっという間に時間が過ぎてしまうほど会話が弾みました！

海外への渡航が困難な中でも、オンラインでの国際交流を積極的に実施していきます！
