【国際教育部】中学生対象グローバルサマーレッスン、実施！！

On July 31st, about 60 junior high school students took part in the global summer lesson. This lesson allowed them to experience our international course. The theme of the lesson was "Can young people change the world?"

The lesson began with icebreakers and discussions of general topics. After everyone had become acquainted, the students discussed global issues and brainstormed solutions to one particular issue. They then made videos explaining and demonstrating how we can help solve the issue.

The issue that the students focused on was global warming. Despite the limited time they had, they made fantastic videos demonstrating how people can help to reduce global warming. Some of their ideas included:

  • Recycling correctly.
  • Turning off taps when they are not being used.
  • Using eco-bags when shopping.
  • Saving power by turning off electronic devices when they are not in use.
  • The students were able to learn a lot about global warming and how they can help to reduce it.

We hope that the students enjoyed the lesson and will join us in Chukyo next year.

 7月31日（月）、中学生60人がグローバルサマーレッスンに参加してくれました！ このイベントは、中学生が本校国際コースの授業を体験する機会として数年前から始まったもので、毎年大好評のイベントです。
 3人のネイティブの先生たちの教室にそれぞれ分かれて授業に参加し、国際コース1，2年の生徒たちのサポートを受けながら午前中いっぱい国際コースの授業を体験しました。 中学生と一緒に来ていただいた保護者の方にはプチスクールツアーにも参加していただき、そのあと国際コースの授業の様子を見ていただきました。

 最後にサマーレッスンの修了証とノベルティを渡し、みんなで集合写真を撮りました。 このイベントを通して、「授業難しかったけど、授業楽しかった！」「絶対に国際コースに入学したいという気持ちが強くなりました！」というコメントを書いてくれた中学生もいて、国際コースの先生たちもとってもうれしいです♪

教員も在校生も、来年度みんなと一緒に国際コースで学び合えるのを楽しみに待っています！！
