【国際教育部】名古屋米国領事館首席領事とのタウンホールミーティング実施！

On Wednesday 27th September we had the pleasure to welcome Mr. Matthew Cenzer the Principal Officer at the American Nagoya Consulate. This was the second visit by Matthew to come and share his experiences and ideas to the Chukyo students.

We had 40 students from 1J, 2J- the International Course students and English Club attended the event. The students prepared many interesting questions to ask Matthew, such as "What do you think is the most important thing we can do to understand cultural differences?" And, "What are the differences between American and Japanese politics?" It was very informative to listen to his answers and opinions about World events and relationships between countries. It is good to continue building international relationships and sharing ideas between friends around the world.
Chukyo to the World.

9月27日（水）の授業後、国際コース1,2年生と英語部の生徒たちが、名古屋米国領事館マシュー・センザー首席領事とタウンホールミーティングを実施しました。ミーティングでは多くの生徒が首席領事に質問し、質問内容も「異文化理解に必要なものは何だと思いますか」「日本のアメリカの政治における違いは何だと思いますか」というアカデミックな質問から「主席領事がモットーにしている言葉はありますか」という質問まで多岐にわたりました。

ミーティングはすべて英語で行われ、英語で質問したり意見交換をしたりして、アメリカ外交官との貴重な時間を有意義に過ごすことが出来ました。また、首席領事も本校生徒たちに質問し、異文化体験の中で感じたことを積極的に聞いてくださいました。

本イベントは２年前に引き続き２回目の実施となりましたが、マシュー・センザー氏も本校生徒たちの高い英語力と発言力に感心してくださり、「これからの時代を作っていく君たちに、積極的に活躍していってほしい」と力強く温かいメッセージを生徒たちに送ってくださいました。

これからも世界へ羽ばたけ、中京生！
